Google Maps gets built-in parking payments for more than 400 US cities

Already in September, Google Maps announced the option to pay parking fees in their Android app. The payments were made by Google Pay and the whole process was done in collaboration with Passport Parking. In a new blog post, Google announces that the “Pay for Parking” feature will be available within Maps in more than 400 U.S. cities, including Boston, Cincinnati, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Washington DC and will soon reach iOS users .

In addition, Google Maps users can pay with GPay for another 80 other transportation agencies worldwide. Users of public transportation in select locations, such as San Francisco, can also purchase transit credit via Maps for effortless and contactless public transportation travel.
