Google Fi offers Motorola One 5G Ace, Moto G Power and Moto G Play

Google Fi adds three new Motorola phones: the One 5G Ace, Moto G Power (2021) and Moto G Play (2021). The devices are on sale directly via the MVNO, with the Ace for $ 279, the Moto G Power for $ 199 and the Moto G Play for $ 99. You will also find the Power-Play version from last year.

The One 5G Ace has the highest specifications of the three and offers a large 6.7-inch 1080p screen, 5,000 mAh battery, a capable Snapdragon 750G chipset and of course 5G. Google Fi sells the cheaper version with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage.

The G Power model at Fi is the more expensive variant, and it’s good: it contains 64 GB of storage instead of the 32 GB offered by the base model, which just is not enough for a modern phone. This year’s G Power contains a 5,000 mAh battery that provides multiple days of use on a single charge. The G Play is the cheapest option, but you want to add a microSD card for extra storage, as 32GB is your only choice there.

The One 5G Ace and G Power are two that need a budget device: the Ace intends to do a bit of everything, while the G Power uses everything in battery life. We think the Ace is an excellent device if you can live with some of its shortcomings, such as a so-so camera. The G Power is harder to recommend – if excellent battery life is a top priority, it will do the job, but in the end it sacrifices a lot in the name of, well, power.
