Google accidentally leaks green ‘Pixel Buds A’ in email push

In an email sent to those on the Google Nest mailing list this morning, Google included a small picture of the yet-to-be-announced “Pixel Buds A” in a dark green color variant that we unveiled exclusively last week.

The email contains new features coming to Google devices, and includes links to the Google Store at the bottom with the Pixel Buds A under “Accessories”.

This small picture gives us the first complete look at the new headphones, which are more thoroughly colored over the earbuds, wingtips and chest of drawers. 9to5Google is also aware of a white variant that is similar. It also moves the external charging indicator to the top, rather than just above the charging port on the 2nd generation Pixel Buds. The green Pixel Buds A color on display is much darker than the currently offered Quite Mint, which better matches a forest green than a playful green blue.

This early release of marketing materials comes after FCC presentations of a new Pixel Buds-like device as well as information from our sources about the product name.

With the “Your Nest device just got an upgrade” theme, the message aims to make users aware of new features coming to the Nest Hub, including sharing photos through voice and easier control over smart devices, as well as the Apple TV app for Chromecast with Google TV. These capabilities were only announced last week.

This probably indicates that an announcement from Google about the Pixel Buds A will come sooner rather than later.
