Good Brothers Makes AEW Debut, Fits Omega & Young Bucks

Impact Wrestling’s Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson made their AEW debut on Dynamite tonight, rescuing Kenny Omega from an attack by Jon Moxley and aligning him with Omega and The Young Bucks’ The Elite.

Gallows and Anderson’s debut came while Omega was saved from an attack by Jon Moxley. The Young Bucks then took the lead after other members of the roster tried to attack The Good Brothers and Omega.

The AEW announcement team pushed it hard as a reunion of ‘The Club’ and ‘The Band’, referring to the group’s Bullet Club alliance in NJPW without naming Bullet Club by name.

After Omega’s successful AEW world title defense against Rey Fenix, Jon Moxley ran in to attack the champion with a barbed wire bat. Gallows and Anderson step in to save Omega. Omega, Gallows and Anderson went on to defeat Moxley and an army of talent among talent who hit the ring to try to fend off the attack.

The Young Bucks then ran in, apparently to fight Gallows and Anderson. Instead, The Bucks Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr. hit with super kicks as they tried to attack Omega.

Omega, Gallows and Anderson entered the ring with the ‘too sweet’ Bullet Club hand signal and invited The Bucks to join. The Bucks seem hesitant at first, but throw up the too sweet and the last recording of the show was the five of them with their hands together in the stance.

The interpromotional angle between Impact and AEW was launched on December 2, 2020’s Winter upcoming show. Impact executive and longtime Omega friend Don Callis helped Omega win the Moxley AEW title on the show.

In the ensuing weeks, Omega, as well as AEW broadcaster Tony Schiavone and AEW president Tony Khan appeared on Impact programming.

Before Gallows and Anderson’s debut tonight, Callis was the only Impact artist to appear in this interpromotional corner on Dynamite.
