The director of Godzilla vs. Kong, Adam Wingard, describes the Warner Bros./Legendary film as two separate stories that intersect in a new featurette.
Godzilla teen Kong will feature two stories, according to director Adam Wingard.
Wingard was part of Warner Bros.’s “Collision” performance. ‘official YouTube channel, with cast members. “You can look at the film as two separate stories that eventually cross,” he said. “Every human story also follows the monster story.”
According to Wingard, the film will be split between ‘Team Kong’ – consisting of Alexander Skarsgard, Rebecca Hall and Kaylee Hottle – and ‘Team Godzilla’ – with Millie Bobby Brown, Julian Dennison and Brian Tyree Henry. Kong’s team sees the massive monkey as humanity’s last chance against a disastrous Godzilla, while Godzilla’s team tries to find out the reason behind the sudden malicious turn of the King of the Monsters. “We always saw the film as a separation between Team Godzilla and Team Kong, and it was exciting for me to do this film,” Wingard continued.
The film concludes with the cast giving their opinion on who would win the monster mash, although Hall said: “I do not choose side.” Wingard himself was very clear about it Godzilla teen Kong will have a definite winner and that he knows who would win since the second grade.
Directed by Adam Wingard and written by Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein, Godzilla teen Kong plays Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry. The film will hit theaters on March 31 and air on HBO Max.
