Fans of Zack Snyder have successfully organized a campaign to promote Warner Bros. ‘attention and persuade the studio to direct Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League—Which changes into the extremely expensive and slightly improved Zack Snyder’s Justice League– prove once and for all that if a fanbase is loud enough and intrusive, they can make any ridiculous dream come true (provided their dream coincides with a movie studio that feels an overwhelming sense of desperation about how much content is available on its new streaming platform). The point is: They did it. It worked. They tweeted enough hashtags and got enough people’s answers and made so much noise that Warner Bros. decided that it actually makes sense to throw millions and millions of dollars to close it (but in a nice way). Now … it’s happening again.

While Christians on Easter celebrated Easter by tending ‘Jesus’ to number two in the United States (we’re just kidding, ‘Happy Easter’ is currently number one), Godzilla fans got ‘#ContinueTheMonsterverse’ to sing dare. in the top 10 too. The need for the hat brand is based on the idea that Godzilla vs. Kong looks like the end of the series featuring Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. work since Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla in 2014, as the studios have not yet announced any kaiju movies going on after this new one. It is not surprising that people who like to see impossible big gorillas jump into the hollow core of the earth, and respectful actors who say rules like “Godzilla hurts people and we do not know why” would like to see more of these things, and they think WB and Legendary will get the attention to make #ContinueTheMonsterverse trend on social media.

And would you look into it? It has. Legendary today tweeted a simple observation of the trending topic, confirming that, yes, it’s aware that people want more of these monster movies. Nothing new has been announced, but at least it seems like a good sign for more city-blocking fun and cheerfully nonsensical mythology. After all, these movies have not even introduced Godzilla’s awful son Minilla, and now that the Mechagodzilla card has been played, there’s no reason why Legendary and WB can’t do Jet Jaguar.
