God of War First-Person Mod shows the game from a new perspective

Off the ground, Sony Santa Monica Studios God of war was intended to be played from a third-person perspective. But now, one user has decided to mess things up and see what the game would look like from a completely different point of view. The result is an interesting result that continues to highlight how remarkable the animation in the game is.

Seen in a new video from Speclizer, the user created a mod to show us where the world is from God of war looks like from a first person. The video highlights this perspective through the eyes of a number of different characters from the game, including Kratos, Atreus, and Mimir. With so many characters appearing much closer to the screen than normal thanks to this mod, it’s more striking to see how lifelike the face animations are. God of war as a whole.

The only disappointment of the video is that we can not see from this perspective how battle itself will look from it. It will obviously be a much bigger task to work properly, but alas, we will just have to imagine what it would look like. A handful of key clips from God of war are the only sections highlighted in this video.

It is also noteworthy that if you watch the video above, there are some important spoilers God of war included. If you somehow have not yet played the game for yourself, you may just want to watch the first few scenes rather than watching the whole thing. You must also absolutely play God of war if you have the means to do so, because it’s one of the best games of the last few years.

As for the future of God of war, the next installment in the series is expected to appear on PlayStation 5 (and possibly PlayStation 4) this year. Although it does not yet have an official title, God of War: Ragnarok, as many people call it, more needs to be shown as we progress to 2021.
