Global sales data suggest that Balan has weakened Wonderworld on a large scale

Balan Wonderworld

When Balan Wonderworld was first unveiled last year, we – and much of the Nintendo Life community, judging by these comments – were very interested to see how it would turn out. The premise of a fresh 3D platform by Yuji Naka and Naoto Ohshima, creators of Sonic the Hedgehog, was something we could not do not keep watch, and the hope was great.

Unfortunately, things have gone downhill since then. Doubt arose with us when the demo’s digital stores hit the stores, and the development team quickly said that they intend to address all the negative feedback from the players in a day-one patch. Then we got the final copy in hand, and all our fears about the quality of the title – or, alas, the lack of it – turned out to be true.

With very poor reviews around, it might not be surprising to see that the game has sold poorly worldwide. Last week’s Japanese cards revealed that the physical copy of the game could not succeed in breaking the top 30 in the opening week (it to be heard sold less than 2,100 copies), and it’s a similar story elsewhere.

As reported by PlayStation Lifestyle, the game could not make the top 30 in the Nintendo eShop hit lists in Japan and North America. of titles that have been on the charts for over 100 weeks.

Balan Wonderworld's has a large part of the negative press, from soundtrack accusations to warnings about epileptic seizures.

This is very unfortunate, especially since Yuji Naka explained earlier that this may be his only chance to make a successful 3D platform at Square Enix, but it seems that even the suspicious, overly positive fans are unable to do so. do not turn this sinking ship around.
