Glastonbury 2021 Canceled | Haystack

Glastonbury has been canceled for the second year in a row due to COVID-19. The ‘forced vomiting year’ of the music and arts festival, originally set for 23 and 27 June, is the first time that the modern incarnation will skip successive years. “Despite our efforts to move Heaven and Earth, it has become clear that we will simply not be able to make the festival happen,” organizers Emily and Michael Eavis wrote in a statement. “We thank you for your incredible support and let’s look forward to better times ahead.”

As with last year’s cancellation, ticket holders can overpay their £ 50 deposit, offering a chance to secure tickets for the 2022 festival. In 2020, Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift and Paul McCartney would head the festival. No draft for next year’s festival – should it continue – has yet to be confirmed. The 2019 edition features the Cure, Stormzy, the Killers, Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue, and more.
