Girl possibly exposed hundreds to COVID-19 during country concert, says Val Verde County Judge

SAN ANTONIO The Val Verde County Judge has said that someone from the Del Río area may have deliberately exposed hundreds of people to COVID-19 during a country music event in San Antonio.

Judge Lewis Owens recently posted a strong and well-known message on Facebook to stop the spread of the deadly virus.

‘We get a lot of calls. Why do we speak matters? It no longer depends on us, people. It depends on you, “Owens said in the Facebook post.

In the report, Owens specifically called a girl from the Del Río area who he said went to the Cody Johnson concert at Cowboys Dancehall this past weekend, knowing she was positive for COVID-19.

‘There are apparently Snapchat photos that everyone took with your mask on your wrist and that you are going to have a good time with. You’re positive, lady. You would never have to leave, ”Owens said in the post.

Owens said after the photo popped up, the girl tried to cover it up.

‘Then you have the nervousness, the audacity, to lie to the trackers you fought with your mother and all these other things. That is why you were not at home and then confessed, ”Owens said.

Owens knows that the damage may have already been done.

“People like her are the ones who bring back the good and kill families,” he said.

The girl Owens referred to received a quote and the judge said he intended to make her name known as soon as possible to make an example of her.

Cowboys Dancehall is cited for two violations of the city’s emergency statement due to the large crowd during the concerts. The dance hall is now once away from the closure.

TABC is also investigating possible violations of alcohol due to the events over the weekend.
