Gina Carano, who plays Cara Dune during both seasons of Disney Plus ‘The Mandalorian’, hit back on social media on Wednesday after sharing several controversial posts about her Instagram story.
Carano shared the reports on her story late Tuesday night. One of the posts she shared compared the divided political climate of today with Nazi Germany.
‘Jews were beaten on the street, not by Nazi soldiers, but by their neighbors … even by children. Because history is being edited, most people today do not realize that in order to reach the point where Nazi soldiers could easily gather thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them because they were Jews. How is it different from hating someone for their political views, ”reads the report, which was originally made on another Instagram account.
In another photo of Carano’s story, a person appears with several cloth masks covering their entire face and head. The caption says, “Meanwhile in California.”
Both posts were removed from Carano’s Instagram story on Wednesday afternoon. Other posts, including a quote that says, ‘To vote for everyone you meet will agree with every belief or view you have is fucking wild’ and one that says, ‘Jeff Epstein didn’t kill himself’ remained.
Many people on Twitter started using the hashtag #FireGinaCarano, tagged accounts for Disney, Disney Plus, “Star Wars” and Lucasfilm and asked that Carano be made of “The Mandalorian”.
Carano has previously committed controversy over social media and previously carried incorrect information about mask and shared voter fraud. In November 2020, she took a closer look at people, including their social media pronouns, by adding ‘beep / bop / boop’ to her Twitter bio, which many fans called transphobic. Carano later removed the words after she said she spoke to her “Mandalorian” partner Pedro Pascal. ‘He helped me understand why people put it in their cinemas. I did not know before, but now I do. I would not put it in my bio, but it is good for anyone who prefers. I stand against bullying, especially the most vulnerable & [support] freedom to choose, ”she wrote at the time.
Carano and Disney representatives did not respond. Varieties request for comment.
