Gina Carano had the feeling that her days at “The Mandalorian” were numbered even before she was fired by Disney following several controversial reports on social media.
This is according to the former Elite XC and Strikeforce fighter, who previously appeared for two seasons as the former rebel shock trooper Cara Dune on the ‘Star Wars’ spin-off that is broadcast on Disney +.
“I have been through so much and I have now seen so much of the bullying that has taken place, and I have seen it before,” Carano said. While Disney and Lucasfilm previously chatted with Carano about her controversial social media posts that contain messages on Twitter and Instagram disputing the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, anti-mask rhetoric during the coronavirus pandemic and other conspiracy theories, it was’ a recent post comparing the fate of Republicans to Jews slaughtered in Nazi Germany during the Holocaust, which led to her expelling ‘The Mandalorian’.

This was perhaps the last straw before Carano was finally fired. She claims that the writing was already on the wall about her status as part of the cast for the “Star Wars” series.

Carano later revealed that she found out about her shooting on social media when representatives of Lucasfilm announced a statement that she was no longer employed in the studio, calling her comments ‘disgusting’ and ‘unacceptable’.
“I was willing to be released at any point because I saw it happen to so many people,” Carano said. ‘I saw the look on their faces. I saw the bullying going on, and when it started, they aimed their guns at you, and you know it’s just a matter of time. I saw it happen to so many people, and I just thought to myself (…) ‘You are coming for me, I know you are.’ ‘

Only a few days after Carano was fired from ‘The Mandalorian’, she entered into an agreement with Shapiro to develop a new film for the right-wing website and play the lead role in the entertainment industry.

There were no further comments from Disney, Lucasfilm or ‘The Mandalorian’ film boss Jon Favreau, who helped Carano for her role in the show.
Carano, however, did not remain silent as she continued to aim at her former employers in the wake of her dismissal.
