Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramírez launches a promotional deal with Oscar de la Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions

The Mexican player Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramírez made a promotional deal with Golden Boy Promotions for multiple players.

Mexican Ramírez (41-0, 27 KO’s), 29 years old, won the OMB super median weight loss belt, but five defensive teams from the title decided to jump to the semifinal weight, where he won the peleas.

“They will set the goals and the agendas that I have and will have a full Oscar [De La Hoya] and the team to make the big leagues a reality ”, says Ramírez. “I hope to work with them in this new chapter of my career”.

Ramirez’s goal is an eventual opportunity for the world title. The last time I saw a belt, I thanked Jesse Hart for a majority decision in 2018 to retain his crown of super median weight.

Artur Beterbiev holds the CMB belts and the FIB in semipsado and Dimitry Bivol loads the AMB belts. None of the players lost in their careers. Beterbiev is the next month, while Bivol will not be playing since 2019.

Ramirez is the first super median champion in Mexican boxing history.
