Giants call BS after Eagles tank against the Washington Football Team: ‘WTF?’

The New York Giants are crying out after seeing the Philadelphia Eagles lay down for the Washington Football Team on Sunday. In the final week 17, the Eagles listed ten beginners with injuries or COVID problems.

To make matters worse, head coach Doug Pederson named rookie fullback Jalen Hurts for rugby player Nate Sudfeld in the second half of the 20-14 loss to Washington.

If the Eagles had won, the Giants would have been crowned NFC East champions thanks to their 23-19 victory over the Dallas Cowboys earlier in the day.

While Pederson said he played to win, many giants think the Eagles wore tank, which gives Washington the division title, with several players hitting. Twitter Sunday night to vent their frustration:

During the broadcast of the game on Sunday night, Cris Collinsworth, an analyst at NBC Sports, also questioned the move to Hurts: “I could not have done what Philadelphia did.”

If you expect the NFL to consider the Eagles’ roster and draft decisions on Sunday, Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network say you will be very disappointed.

The NFL’s long-standing position was that it was only the club’s decision about who he should play for, for a long time, and so on. Although the circumstances (Sunday) are unique, the #Eagles is not the first team to play backup in Week 17, and the league has historically not been involved.

However, the giant defender, Logan Ryan, got the Eagles off the hook, according to Peter King of NBC Sports:

Fifteen minutes after the game I got the veteran Giants DB Logan Ryan on the phone. I was hoping he would come out with barrels flaming. “Wish I could give you the explosive stuff you wanted,” Ryan said a few minutes before midnight. ‘There will be a lot of opinions on whether they tried to win. You want to play the game to win, but I do not play for the Eagles, I do not coach the Eagles. This is their team. Winning six games does not give us much right to get angry about this. We haven’t played consistently enough all year to earn it. ”
