The then 17-year-old Giuffre repeatedly said the photo was taken the first night when Maxwell and Epstein, a convicted sex offender who died in prison after further charges of sex trafficking, forced her to have sex with the prince.
Prince Andrew also said he could not remember ever going upstairs to Maxwell’s house where the photo was apparently taken.
“I recognize the area,” Ian Maxwell confirmed after the interviewer asked, “Was it taken in Ghislaine’s home in London?”
Asked if he thinks the prince could be asked to speak as a character witness for the defense, Ian Maxwell said he did not know, adding: ‘We are gathering the witnesses, and so on. … so that I may not want to comment on the composition of who is going to say what to whom. ‘
He said he assumed his sister Andrew was still considered a friend, but that he believed her friendship with Epstein ended about 20 years ago. He said he thought he had only seen them together once, reports the Post.
