As a general rule, it’s a bad idea to buy games at full price – sales are anything but inevitable, so you can even get AAA games against the dollar six months later. Heck, publishers sometimes just give away older games for free. But here is an exception to the rule. If you want Super Mario 3D All-Stars, you need to get it soon, because it’s about to disappear forever. At the moment you can get Super Mario 3D All-Stars for $ 56 when applying promotional code GSMARIO at the checkout. It’s only a $ 4 saving, but that’s not the point. If you can get this game at all in the future, the price will probably go up because Nintendo discontinued it.
So here’s the deal. In September, Nintendo released Super Mario 3D All-Stars as part of its Super Mario 35th anniversary event. It consists of specially remastered versions of three classic classics: Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy. Nintendo had planned to produce the game for just six months, and the time is now over. On March 31, the game will disappear from the Nintendo eShop.
The game will still play after the murder date, but this may be your last chance to buy it, at least near the list price.
