A lawmaker in Georgia is proposing that his state comply with his voting laws with the more restrictive regulations of New York and Delaware, a recognized “political stunt” designed to criticize President Biden, who lived in Delaware and as one of his served senators, and to punish the Senate. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, DN.Y.
In a Facebook post, Republican State Representative Wes Cantrell wrote Monday that he would introduce ‘The President Joe Biden Jim Crow on the Steroids Voting Act’ and ‘The Senator Chuck Schumer’ Racist Voter Suppression ‘Voting Act’ – both referring to phrases that Democratic politicians had earlier violated Georgia’s law.
Cantrell’s message highlighted how New York and Delaware have stricter limits on the number of early voting days, as well as the suitability for those who can cast absent votes.
“Since President Biden seems very concerned about our laws here in Georgia, Georgia’s bill will be the same as that of his native Delaware,” Cantrell said.

Neither the White House nor Schumer’s office responded immediately to Fox News’ requests for comment.
Biden claimed that Georgian law forbids people from providing food and water to voters while standing in line. He also accused the Republican-led state of ending the vote at 5 p.m., “if people are just off work.”
Georgia law actually standardizes what are considered ‘normal business hours’ as 9am to 5pm, but still allows provinces to extend their voting hours to as early as 7am and as late as 7pm. It also allows voting workers to provide self-service water from an unguarded container within 150 feet of the polling station, but prohibits people from political organizations from actively distributing food and beverages within the distance.
As Cantrell noted, The Washington Post gave Biden four Pinocchios for his claim over voting times.
“Congratulations on your 4 Pinocchios from The Washington Post,” reads the Cantrell post.
“And you did not just spread the wrong information once. You did it over and over again. Delaware’s voting laws are draconian compared to Georgia. Until you bring the election reform to your home state of Delaware, it’s probably best that you pronounce this one.To use your favorite phrase, “Come on man!”

The new law in Georgia provides 17 days of early voting with two more Sundays for provinces that want it. Meanwhile, Delaware has no early voting days and will only have them next year. In New York, voting takes place nine days early and ends the second day before an election.
And while Georgia allows voters to cast ballots without apology, according to Ballotpedia, New York and Delaware have specific criteria for who can participate.
