Two provinces in Georgia have filed lawsuits to recover the legal costs of former President Donald Trump, which he embarked on as part of a failed campaign to prove widespread electoral fraud in November’s presidential election.
Cobb County and DeKalb County filed lawsuits on Monday to recover the costs of the attorney fees incurred in failed lawsuits because of the fraud of voters that Trump brought against them in December. Both motions seek to recover the costs of Trump as well as David Gafer, chairman of Georgia GOP.
Cobb and DeKalb provincial election officials were among those named in a failed lawsuit filed in December by the Trump campaign in the Fulton County Supreme Court seeking to overthrow Georgia’s presidential election, which President Joe Praying with a relatively narrow margin won. .
The Trump campaign has filed dozens of other lawsuits across the country to reverse the election result, which also failed.
The Cobb County motion states that Janine Eveler, the county’s election director, and the Cobb County Electoral Board spent more than $ 10,000 to defend Trump’s unfounded claims.
The claims are said to be “procedurally deficient, in fact unsupported, or both”, and the fees are said to be ‘only a fraction’ of the fees incurred by a total of fifteen provinces also facing lawsuits.

DeKalb County’s motion states that he spent more than $ 6,000 to defend himself against ‘unfounded and frivolous allegations’ of state transgressions, voter fraud, the settlement of ballot papers and other unproven allegations.
The lawsuit was also filed against Georgia’s state election council, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, and 13 other provinces in the province, KITV reported.
The Cobb County motion states that former President Trump and Shafer “brought this election game against Georgia’s Secretary of State and State Election Board members to block the votes of millions of Georgians.”
The case was thrown out in January, the Hill reported, days after Trump was caught on tape and Raffensperger, the Secretary of State, pressed to “find” additional votes for him.
“We have mysteriously dropped at least 250,000 to 300,000 ballots,” Trump told Raffensperger in the leaked call.
“I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is more than we have because we won the state, and turning the state around is a great proof of our country,” Trump said.
Raffensperger reportedly launched an investigation into Trump’s efforts to reverse the election result in Georgia.
