Tonight: Clouds will increase before the next system. Winds will be around 5-10 mph outside the ENE direction. Low temperatures will be in the thirties.
Sunday: Sunday will be a raw and muddy day in Eastern Iowa. Rain will move Sunday morning and last for much of the day. Some places can see about an inch of rain. Wind gusts will be around 15-30 km / h, with gusts as high as 35-40 km / h. High temperatures will be slightly cooler and in the mid 40s to near 50 degrees.
A winter storm guard is in effect from Sunday to Monday at 9 p.m.
Sunday evening: The rain will continue overnight on Sunday before turning to snow / mixing after midnight. The snow can be heavy at times. Low temperatures will be in the upper twenties, with strong winds.
Monday: Snow is falling for your morning shuttle, which will cause delays. A wintery blend is possible in our southern provinces, with a slight chance of a slight sheen. Allow extra time for travel and be prepared for slippery road conditions. Windy easterly winds will blow snow, reducing visibility. High temperatures will be in the thirties. Snow will come to an end in the evening. Accumulating snow seems very possible in our northwestern, western and central provinces. Models still differ on exactly how much snow and where.
This week: Cooler temperatures remain during the first half of the work week, with another mix possible for St. Louis. Patrick’s Day and Thursday. The temperature will return to the 50s by next weekend.
