Gensou Skydrift for PS4 launches March 9 with new characters and stages

The PlayStation 4 version of Touhou project racing game Gensou Skydrift will be launched worldwide on March 9 via the PlayStation Store for $ 23.99 / € 21.99 / 2980 yen worldwide, publisher Phoenixx and developer illuCalab announced. It supports English, Japanese and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) language options.

The PlayStation 4 version features new playable characters Alice Margatroid and Rin Kaenbyou, and new stages ‘Heaven’ and ‘Redevelopment Area B’, which are added to the currently available Switch and PC (Steam) versions via a free update of the same date.

Although the Switch and PC versions of Gensou Skydrift supports multiplayer across different platforms, the PlayStation 4 version will not.

Ride through 20 stages with a powerful duo selected from 22 characters, one acting as a vehicle and the other riding on her back as a driver, each with exclusive stats and magic. Swap the two strategies between rider and vehicle positions to handle the turns of the tracks perfectly or to use skills at the right moment.

Two new characters and two new courses will have their Gensou Skydriftt debut in both the new PlayStation version and now available Nintendo Switch and Steam versions. The beloved Touhou characters Alice Margatroid and Rin Kaenbyou will be able to be played in all versions on March 9th. Race through vibrant cherry blossoms in the Sky Circle and through a futuristic city in Redevelopment Area B.

Fast through the fantasy realm of Gensokyo, filled with charming creatures, flora and multicolored clouds depicted in 3D in this fan entry in the Guinness World Record-keeping Touhou Project franchise that brings the joy of racing to PlayStation 4.
