Genshin Impact ‘s Bennett is wonderful. But when people talk about him, it’s mainly about his kit. Although most healers in the game are Cryo or Hydro units, he is a Pyro one. Not to mention the effect of Elemental Burst, it also restores health and gives it the attack of a character. He is an easy swordsman. Even his normal elementary skill offers useful Pyro damage. But what people may not even realize is what a sincere and sweet underdog he is.
Bennett is an orphan who has always had a passion for adventure. Even if the world is not good for him or for people who explore with him. His happiness is the worst, but he never lets it get him down. People in his team can leave him. He can be struck by lightning. But it never discourages him. And it prevents him from caring about the people around him and trying to help them. Accidents shaped him, but never discouraged him. As a result, you get this incredibly optimistic ally who is passionate about the world, finding new treasures and seeing new attractions. It’s refreshing, like having a classic RPG protagonist as your virtual best friend.
There is nothing more appropriate than accidentally getting the achievement of being struck by lightning while trying to get a dramatic image of Benny using his Elemental Skill.
Bennett has some of the best idle and voting guidelines in Genshin Impact. This is because he is well aware of how unhappy he is, and that some of them play with the idea that fate places a target on his back. I mean, he choked his son his own sandwich in the middle of offering you a little! But while many of them point out how susceptible he is to … um, struck by lightning or trapped, there is this eternal hope.
Bennett is surrounded by people who love him, and I’m not just talking about players who realize how helpful he is. We see that he has dads, adventurers in the guild who have taken him under their wing and love him. We know that Katheryne still keeps a record of his team, even though it is only one member. He refers to a fan of Barbara and his story mentions how she cared for him when he returned from trekking. There is comfort in knowing that, although people know that he is a magnet for disaster, they still love him.
This makes it all the more ironic that, as perfectly suited as Genshin Impact ‘s Bennett is a protagonist, he is not one. I like to think this is another example of miHoYo showing exactly how bad his luck is. Here we have the ideal kind of hero, someone who fits the form perfectly and he moves to the side because he is in a game with so many other notable characters. From 1.2 he is not even prominent in any campaigns or events!
Genshin Impact ‘s Bennett is a wonderful guy. He has an interesting background playing with all the concepts we expect from our typical RPG heroes. He is a practical character who can fit well into any party. I also like that miHoYo has created someone with whom you can really identify and for whom you can root. Especially since the poor guy is not getting the spotlight yet. And since he is a four star that is always available, everyone has the chance to add this great ally to their list.
