Genshin Impact-KFC Crossover Event Canceled in China

Genshin Impact-KFC Crossover event canceled due to overwhelming demand in China coverage

Genshin Impact recently announced a partnership with KFC for an event that will get consumers a limited edition. However, due to an overwhelming demand that supporters were seeing arriving in large groups, the Chinese government stepped in and canceled the event. The issue amounts to the violation of the measure to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The event, which would end on March 21, is specifically aimed at KFC branches in only two of China’s cities, namely Shanghai and Hangzhou. Not surprisingly, two of the country’s most populous regions. KFC sent the news via the Chinese social media website, Weibo, which confirmed the postponement.

If a similar marketing stunt is imitated for a greater reach of the customers, the crossover event sees fans get pins and stickers during the event. In particular, for two of the playable characters, Diluc and Noelle, by buying a fried chicken theme after the first. Furthermore, the distribution of codes that will give players access to a glider is distributed, with the KFC motif.

Leading analyst Daniel Ahmad, who is designed to be the rarer of two items, claims that obtaining pins needs more than just purchasing the meal. More specifically, consumers will need to give a code to the KFC employee before they get the brand as a price.

Meanwhile, those who missed the opportunity and are still eager to get their hands on the goodies can resort to online shopping. Dealers are said to sell the pens at $ 80 each.
