Mihoyo has confirmed when you can expect the next update of Genshin Impact to start live. The developer has posted an update on his website that contains everything you need to know, from downtime and compensation to timings and general life changes.
The standstill for Genshin Impact’s 1.3 update starts on February 3 at 14:00 PST / 17:00 EST / 22:00 GMT and will last about 5 hours, Mihoyo confirms. However, this is subject to change as you can never be sure what may appear. You will receive compensation from 300 Primogems for the downtime, which is equal to 60 every hour. However, Mihoyo says you will still get the full amount if the update expires early.
Once the interview is done, Xiao’s opportunity wish, Invitation to Mundane Life, begins, which is your chance to win the demon hunter if you’m lucky. Along with the guardian yaksha, you can also draw Diona, Beidou and Xinyan. Mihoyo adds that everyone’s wish reduction rates will be “significantly increased” from the start of the event until February 17.
We also found out that the second character banner of the update would be the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing, Kequing. She is a sword-wielding Electro user, and you will have the chance to add her to your team when Dance of Lanterns begins on February 17th.
The rest of the update 1.3 patch notes spell out other quality of life and updates that have been teased so far, such as Zhongli’s much-needed remake. If you want to read it yourself, you can find it on the developer’s website.
