President Joe Biden’s foreign policy toward China may be more like his predecessor than many people expect, General Jack Keane (Ret.), Fox Strategy’s senior strategic analyst, said Wednesday.
‘I think what we’re going to find here [is that] while [there are] “Significant differences on the domestic side between the Trump administration and the Biden administration, I think people will be surprised at the generality of foreign policy and national security,” Keane told Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum during Biden’s Fox News coverage inauguration.
“The fact is,” Keane added, “that the people around President Biden quite agree with Trump’s redefining of the global security challenges we face.”
Keane said Biden’s circle, led by designated foreign minister Antony Blinken, apparently understood the power competition between the US and China and the threat posed by North Korea and Iran.

The main differences between Trump and Biden, he added, are in terms of style and tone.
Regarding Biden’s stated intention to reintroduce the 2015 Iran nuclear deal with the help of former Foreign Secretary John Kerry, Keane said such a move would not be as simple as the new president claims. .

“Whether you agree with Trump or not come out of the nuclear deal, I happen to agree with him, the crippling sanctions [the Rouhani regime] on their heels, ”he said.
“This is the opportunity facing the Biden team. Because of the sanctions, they are desperate,” Keane continued, suggesting that the Abraham agreements forged by Trump and Jared Kushner laid the groundwork for a ” Arab NATO “in the Middle East which can be used as a bulwark against the Iranian regime.
