Gayle King says Meghan Markle has ‘documents’ to support Oprah Winfrey’s claims

According to journalist and friend Gayle King, Meghan Markle has evidence behind the allegations she made during her tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“Meghan has documents to back up everything she said on Oprah’s interview. Everything,” King confirmed on CBS This Morning on Tuesday morning.

The Duchess of Sussex said during the interview that she ‘had concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he was born’.

Markle also said her help was denied when she told the agency she had suicidal thoughts.

In addition, they would not correct false stories about her in the British tabloids, including one that said she made Kate Middleton cry before her wedding when the opposite happened.

King’s comments reflect what Markle’s girlfriend, actress Janina Gavankar, told the British program “This Morning” last week that Markle has “many emails and texts” that support her side of the story.

‘I know that the family and staff were well aware of the extent of the [Markle’s issues], and although their memories may differ, ours does not, because we have lived through them with them, ‘Gavankar said.

The CBS anchor also said that Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William, and father, Prince Charles, have spoken since the interview.

“The word I was given was that those conversations were not productive,” King said. ‘But they’re glad they’re at least started a conversation.

“And I think what still upsets them is that the palace keeps saying they want to work it out privately, yet they believe these fake stories are coming out that Meghan is still contemptuous of,” she added.

King, who had already attended Markle’s baby show in New York in 2019, said that “no one in the royal family has spoken to Meghan at this particular time.”

She also defended Markle during her time as a working kingdom against bullying allegations.

“The bullying was raised in 2018 and now Meghan Markle is being investigated on an ongoing basis, when someone who worked with her will tell exactly who she is,” King said. “You know, she’s really a very sweet, caring person.”
