Trisha Yearwood tested positive for COVID-19. Garth Brooks issued a statement on Tuesday saying he would “drive through this” in quarantine with his wife of more than 15 years.

The country’s superstars revealed on February 11 that they were isolating themselves at home and canceling scheduled events after a member of their team contracted the virus. According to a Brooks spokesman, Yearwood, 59, has tested positive in recent days while remaining negative.

“The Queen and I have now tested twice,” Brooks, 59, said in a statement to Yahoo Entertainment. ‘Officially she is now diagnosed as’ on her way out of the tunnel’, for which I am very grateful. “

According to the statement, severe weather in Tennessee prevented the couple from being tested until almost a week after their initial exposure.

“Anyone who knows me knows that my world begins and ends with Miss Yearwood, so she and I will ride through this together,” Brooks notes, adding projects like his weekly. Inside Studio G conversation on Facebook will be interrupted. “And everyone who knows her knows that she’s a fighter and that she did everything right, so I know we’ll walk out on the other side of the thing together.”

Yearwood treats symptoms, but is doing well, according to Brooks’ representative.

“She’s tough. She’s stronger than I am,” Brooks said, noting that they welcome all prayers and good thoughts. “If anyone asks, this is what you can do for her. That’s what I do. ‘

Brooks admitted he was still worried about his wife and the possible long-term consequences due to the virus.

“When I live with her, I take it for granted that she is one of the greatest voices in all music. The possible long-term effects on her are my husband and as a fan,” he concludes. “We are very happy that she is currently under the best care in the best city to treat and cure singers.”

Yearwood and Brooks had to be quarantined before due to exposure to COVID-19. One of Brooks’ three children from his previous marriage, 24-year-old daughter Allie, had a mild case of the virus.

“As a parent, no one knows what COVID is going to do in the future, so you just have to watch over them,” Brooks said in July, noting that his daughter only had a sore throat. “You pray a lot and hopefully she’s just coming out of it.”

Brooks added during the interview during the summer that the past few months “were probably the most we’ve ever been through as a couple.”

“What’s on the other side is so wonderful, especially if you’re at the right one,” he declared.
