Game of Thrones star Pilou Asbaek joins Jason Momoa in Aquaman 2 in an unknown role
Jason Momoa gets a fellow Game of Thrones star to join Aquaman 2, with Pilou Asbaek.
The 39-year-old Danish actor, who played the hideous Euron Greyjoy in Game of Thrones, is in talks to join the Warner Bros. superhero sequel via Deadline.
No details were given about the plot of the sequel and no details about who Asbaek may play.

The original Aquaman follows Arthur Curry (Momoa), born of a human father (Temuera Morrison) and Queen Atlanna (Nicole Kidman) of the underwater empire Atlantis.
The story follows Curry as he searches for a world-country war.
The original film also plays Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Manta.

Aquaman was a big hit for the DCEU at the box office and earned $ 335 million domestically, second in the Wonder Woman’s DCEU $ 412.5 million.
It was also the only DCEU film to gross $ 1 billion worldwide, earning $ 813.4 million from international territories for $ 1.14 billion worldwide.
There is no word yet on whether other Aquaman stars will return with Momoa as the title character.

Aquaman director James Wan returns to directing Aquaman 2 and is working on a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.
Peter Safran is producing the superhero sequel, with production expected to begin this summer, although no further details have been given.
Warner Bros. also set a release date for Aquaman 2 on December 16, 2022, which would compare against another expected sequel, Avatar 2.

Asbaek first appeared in American films such as The Whistleblower and Lucy before his breakthrough role as Euron Greyjoy in Game of Thrones.
He also played Pontius Pilate in Ben-Hur on the big screen in 2016, along with roles in Ghost in the Shell, Woodshock and Overlord.
He recently starred in Outside the Wire and is next seen in Samaritan, Project X-Traction and ISS
