‘Game of Thrones’ actress Esmé Bianco accuses Marilyn Manson of abuse

Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco is the youngest woman to come forward with allegations of physical and psychological abuse against Marilyn Manson, with whom the actress dated in 2011.

After hinting in an Instagram post last week that she was also a Manson survivor, she joined co-actress Evan Rachel Wood and at least five other women. the cut the abuse Manson allegedly inflicted on her during the few months she lived with the shock resident, including accusations that Manson inflicted wounds such as cuts and bruises that left permanent scars on her body.

On one occasion, Bianco claims that Manson cut her torso with a knife. “I can only remember lying there, and I did not fight it,” Bianco told Cut. “It was kind of that last straw moment where I lost all hope and security.”

Bianco, a fan of Manson’s growing up years, first met the singer in 2009 when she was cast in an unreleased Manson music video; she was friends with Manson’s then-wife Dita Von Teese through the burlesque world, but Manson and Bianco’s relationship only began two years later after Manson’s divorce.

The English-born Bianco returned to the US in 2011 to star in Manson’s Lewis Carroll-inspired film Phantasmagoria, and her visa at the time was dependent on that project; months later, when Bianco struggled to break Manson, she feared the singer would sabotage her visa in retaliation.

During Bianco’s time living with Manson in 2011 – which lasted one month before fleeing one night while Manson slept – the first episode of Game of Thrones premiered, during which Bianco’s prostitute character appears in a sex scene. Bianco said Manson would repeatedly play the sex scene for guests on a projector and humiliate her.

“I think I would have made excuses for him,” Bianco said. the cut. “I was in survival mode at the time, and my brain taught me to be small and pleasant.”

Bianco also outlined and reflected what many other Manson prosecutors had previously claimed: Manson was arrogant and often told the women he was in a relationship with what to wear (for Bianco, underwear and short pencil dresses), when to sleep and what to eat. “I basically felt like a prisoner,” Bianco said. ‘I came and went to his pleasure. Who I spoke to, he is completely in control. I let my family hide in the closet. ”

The “breaking point” for Bianco came when Manson once chased her around with an ax; Manson’s assistant confirmed the incident at the time. the cut. Bianco suffered a panic attack due to the incident and left Manson shortly thereafter. She broke up via email a month later in the summer of 2011.

Nearly a decade later, Bianco told Cut that she still suffers from PTSD because of her few months she lived at Manson. In 2019, Bianco and Wood met and began pleading the Phoenix Act that extended California’s statute of limitations by five years. Like Wood, Bianco talked about her abuse to the California Senate, though she did not mention Manson at the time. The Phoenix Act was passed in 2020.

“The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known as Marilyn Manson,” Wood wrote on Instagram last week. “He started caring for me as a teenager and abused me horribly for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I already live in fear of retaliation, slander or extortion. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him before he destroys more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent. ”

Wood had long spoken to her about her relationship with an abusive partner, but her statement was the first time she had named Warner as her alleged abuser. At least five other women have come forward with similar accusations against Manson.

Warner addressed the allegations last week after the initial series of accusations. “Obviously, my art and life have been magnets for controversy for a long time, but these recent allegations about me are a terrible distortion of reality.” Warner wrote on Instagram. ‘My intimate relationships have always been completely one-sided with partners who think alike. No matter how – and why – others now choose to misrepresent the past, this is the truth. ”

In the wake of the allegations, Warner’s current record label, Loma Vista Recordings, issued a statement to drop the artist from the label. “In light of the disturbing allegations of Evan Rachel Wood and other women who name Marilyn Manson as an abuser today, Loma Vista will stop promoting its current album further, effective immediately,” the label said. “Because of these developments, we also decided not to collaborate with Marilyn Manson on future projects.” AMC Networks, the owner of the network Shudder, which would feature Warner as an actor in the coming year Creepshow anthology, tell Vanity Fair that they would not show the segment, and Warner’s longtime manager, Tony Ciulla, left him after 26 years as a customer.

Attempts to reach Manson were unsuccessful.
