The latest version of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy phone follows the Galaxy S20 line, which was issued in 2020. Galaxy S21

Because the Galaxy S21 has not yet been publicly announced, we can only report on the rumors we have heard about its specifications and features. An extensive leak posted on Android Police in November documents almost the entire specification sheet for all three phones: Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra to those of the S20). Samsung did not comment on the leak.

Based on these leaks and others, we know that the S21 has very similar features to the S20, including the size (6.2 inches), battery (4,000 mAh), camera features (including a 12-megapixel ultra-large lens), a 120Hz screen and 5G connectivity. However, it is also said that the S21 will run on Android 11, unlike the S20’s Android 10, and will have a Snapdragon 888 processor. The other big difference is in the price: although the Galaxy S20 started at $ 999, the Galaxy S21 is said to start at $ 850 – a big price reductionprobably due to declining sales Samsung experienced during the year pandemic.

Galaxy S20

CNET gives the base Galaxy S20 a rating of 8.7 out of 10 and calls it the best from the S20 line. Our reviewer mentioned top-notch features, including sharp viewing and advanced camera prowess, but noted that the starting price of $ 999 was a bit high for what you get. That price has since dropped to $ 800 at Amazon and Best Buy. But if the S21 includes many of the same features and a few more upgrades, the newer phone may be the best choice, depending on the final price.
