Galaxy Buds + update brings device switching for One UI 3.1

Last year, Samsung’s Galaxy Buds + was one of the best earbuds you could buy, thanks to its solid sound quality and excellent battery life. While two new models have since been released, Samsung has not given up on Buds +. Now a new update is automatically switched to the Galaxy Buds +.

Like the people at XDA noticed, a new update to the Galaxy Buds + starts with the version number R175XXU0AUB3 and a size of only 1.41 Mb. What’s new? As usual, Samsung says that ‘system stability and reliability’ has been improved, but there are also two additional features.

With One UI 3, Samsung has introduced a new menu for earphone controls within the original Bluetooth settings, and this update enables the feature on Galaxy Buds +. The feature was disabled on Galaxy Buds Pro and also arrived in a recent update on Buds Live.

In addition, Samsung has also added support for the automatic switching on of Galaxy Buds +. With this feature, Samsung’s earbuds can quickly switch between different Galaxy smartphones and tablets, but only when One UI 3.1 is installed. This list is limited, but Samsung is already expanding the update for most of its recent flagships.
