Samsung has shown a good pace for updating its flagship smartphones to Android 11, and after a brief beta that began in December, the update has expanded to several of the company’s mid-range phones. Updates roll far ahead of the roadmap Samsung shared in December, and are now starting to come with the Galaxy A51 5G, A71 5G, M30s and M31s.

The update of the M30s weighs about 2 GB and has so far only been noticed in India. In addition to all the new features of Android 11, Samsung’s feature-loaded One UI has also been refined and improved. In the change log, I noticed that Smart View no longer supports Google Cast, which means you can not share your screen with a Chromecast or Android TV device. I rarely use this feature, yet it was useful and something I will miss. It also means that wireless DeX is not compatible with those devices, which is even more unfortunate.

In addition to the updates that also landed for the A51 5G and A71 5G, we also get early reports on availability for the M31s, but so far only limited to Russia and Ukraine.
