Frustration over alleged exploitation could lead to player strike during NCAA Tournament: Auerbach – The Athletic

Isaiah Livers was just a rookie at the time, so he did not fully keep up with all the planning. But he remembers the energy, dedication and anticipation of a potential final four-way practice boycott in San Antonio in 2018.

“A lot of people don’t know about that,” Livers told The Athletic on Thursday. “But it was very close to happening. It was something I will never forget. It really paved the way for me to start exploring my platform and to create equal opportunities for athletes. ”

Similar frustrations by current players could lead to a similar event during this month’s NCAA Men’s Tournament.
