Call of Duty players have encountered problems trying to use the Double XP tokens in Black Ops Cold War. Many of them went to Reddit to point out the problems, and they are demanding major changes from Activision.
Warzone’s integration with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has brought an abundance of exciting content for players. There are brand new weapons you can unlock, as well as a playable operator in Season One. Furthermore, Activision also recently held a series of Double XP events for both titles.
Many players who got the battle pass got the Double XP tokens Call of Duty: Modern Warfare this season. However, it did not look good, and a thread on Reddit highlighted the issues players face when using it. They want some big changes soon.
BOCW fans want changes to the Double XP tokens
Many fans have been having trouble with Double XP tokens for a solid year now. The biggest complaint is that it’s forever necessary to find a match when you use it, which makes the tokens look like an unnecessary hassle.
Reddit user u / Tritonpr95x delivered a message on this issue in the Black Ops Cold War subreddit. The player said that it is annoying to search for time on matches on tokens, and that it takes a long time to find a game.
‘Really lame you lose so much time searching for matches on your sign. I do not know what it is, but after a little searching it seems like many people have the same problem finding matches. Crossplay enabled. ”
Many other players in the comments shared this sentiment. They agreed that the tokens should be ‘matching’, and that they should function like those of Infinite Warfare where you have a good game, and then double your XP.
There is a notification in the game acknowledging this issue so that the developers and Activision are aware that this issue is plaguing players. Despite the various reports on this topic, they have not yet announced that they will be fixing it soon.
A few comments considered the 15-minute XP tokens to be very problematic. One of you / Darkestneon criticized that you only get one for a game, and you end up spending a lot of time in the foyer.
‘This is why 15min XP tokens are scams. They only let you use for one MP game. Then you lose 5 minutes in the foyer and in the drawer. You lose ONE THIRD of your sign you got with a battle pass for which you PAID.
This is a scam. Give me at least 30min tokens. 15min is pretty useless. I do agree that they should be for the time of the match. ”
You can activate old Double XP tokens
The best way to solve the problem is to get a foyer and then activate tokens the second before the card starts loading. As another user noted, you can also activate your old characters from Warzone and then jump into the Cold War to take advantage of the Double XP you are accumulating.
This method still works as one player tries it out and then says, ‘Thank you, I just did it and it worked. It’s enough now to talk about it before they catch wind and stop it from working. ‘
A few players in the thread said they had not experienced the problem to this extent yet. Some of them reported joining a match after a minute of waiting in the lobby. However, the issue is still more prevalent than it was a while ago.
