The creators of ‘Friends’ begin with how Matthew Perry made Julia Roberts appear in the program in 1996.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the people behind ‘Friends’ reveal that Perry (51) got the actress ‘Pretty Woman’ to appear in the sitcom after they ‘flirted’ by fax.
“Getting Julia Roberts was incredibly exciting,” said co-creator Marta Kaufman. “We knew she would have the right touch for it. And when she said yes, it was quite wonderful ‘
Co-creator Kevin S. Bright then stepped in and revealed Perry’s role in the role of Roberts for the big role.

Staff writer Alexa Junge remarked that they “may have met before the episode, but she was interested in him from afar because he’s so charming.”

“There was a lot of flirting about faxing,” Junge added. She gave him these questionnaires, such as, ‘Why should I go out with you? ‘And everyone in the writer’s room helped him explain to her why. He could have done pretty well without us, but there was no doubt that we were in the Matthew team and making it happen for him. ‘

Roberts (53) appeared on the two parties in 1996, “The One After the Superbowl”. In the episode, Roberts plays Susie Moss, a former friend of Perry’s character Chandler Bing, who wants revenge on him via a fake connection to a children’s staircase.
According to People magazine, the two went out for a short time after delivery.
