Freezing in Texas, gas prices rise in North Dakota

NORTH DAKOTA – The winter storms caused 11 Texas refineries to go offline.

This means higher gas prices across the country.

In North Dakota, the average gas price rose by 13 cents in two weeks and by 22 cents in the past month.

It is now $ 2.50 per liter.

AAA in Fargo says gas prices have risen since the beginning of the year, with news of the covid-19 vaccine.

Gas prices are 16 cents higher than a year ago.

“Even in the midst of this pandemic, we are still paying higher gas prices than we were a year ago. However, I believe we will see this change in the coming months,” said AAA spokeswoman Gene LaDoucer.
