Free games: here’s what you can download now

Everyone loves free stuff. That’s the best. Whether you play on PlayStation, Xbox or PC, you can usually get free games to download, but you usually need a subscription service for the consoles to get it. (Switch owners can play retro games at no extra cost if they sign up for Nintendo Switch Online). The only problem is that it can be difficult to keep track of what free games are available at any given time. We thought we would make it easy for you. If there is a free game at one of the major online stores to download, we show it below. All you have to do is check back regularly to make sure you are getting the free games you deserve so richly.

Free PC Games at Epic Game Store

For years and years, Steam seemed unstoppable. It was the store window for computer games. How can any business compete with such a entrenched power station? The answer is: by offering tons of free, high quality games.

Anyone with an Epic Games Store account can download at least one free game from the online retailer each week. These are many benefits and one that you should take advantage of weekly if you like free games. And who does not?

Epic Games Store is not the only online distributor of games in the “give away computer games”. Above is a list of others you can stick to if you don’t already have one.

Free PlayStation Plus Games

Every month, PlayStation Plus subscribers receive a series of new games that they can keep and play as long as they are a PS Plus member. The only advantage is that you have to add the games to your account every month, otherwise you lose the chance. Look above for the selection of free discounts for PS4 and PS5 owners.

Free Xbox Games with Gold

Anyone who wants to save money, we need to see how we can get a cheap Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

If you’re an Xbox Live Gold member (or if you have Game Pass Ultimate, which includes Xbox Live Gold), you’ll get free games every month that you can download and play as long as you’re a member. This month’s selection is listed above. But, just like the free games with PS Plus, you have to add it to your account the month it is available, otherwise you miss the opportunity to have the games.

Free Games with Nintendo Switch Online

It’s harder to get free switch games. In fact, it almost never happens unless you count the NES and SNES games that Nintendo Switch Online subscribers have access to. That said, no exciting games have been added for a while, so it’s not as attractive as the similar services for PlayStation and Xbox. That said, NSO costs less, so at least it’s something.

Free Games from Amazon Prime Gaming

Amazon Prime members get a bunch of free computer games every month. Granted, you have to sign up for Prime, which costs money, but if you’re already a member for the free delivery or Prime Video, you might as well take advantage of the free games every month.

In addition to free computer games every month, Prime members also receive articles in various types of titles, ranging from Destiny 2 and League of Legends to Red Dead Online and Star Wars Squadrons.

Unless you really like indie titles, it’s probably not worth signing up for Prime just to get the free games. Prime’s free computer games are usually not as big or well known as Epic Games Store. But if you are already a Prime member for the many other benefits, there is no reason not to look at what is offered each month.
