CLEVELAND, Ohio – Franmil Reyes and Zach Plesac took the pressure off Amed Rosario, who started for the Cleveland Indians for the first time in his center field on Friday.
Reyes hit a number of home runs, including a two-pointer in the first innings, and Plesac dominated Detroit hits with seven pointless innings as the Indians scored a 4-1 victory at Progressive Field.

“Such an amazing game gave me the confidence I needed to keep on attacking and not hesitate with my pitches,” Plesac said. “Just seeing guys play boosts my confidence, helps me be more aggressive and feels more comfortable with what pitch I’m going to throw.”
Bryan Shaw hit eighth place and handed a preliminary home run to Wilson Ramos and a turn to Akil Baddoo before knocking out Goodrum and Jones and getting Castro on a line to the left.
