The Frame found their new special teams coordinator as the team announced their appointment Joe DeCamillis. The veteran coach will replace John Bonamego, who is moving to a senior coaching assistant role.
DeCamillis offers 32 years of NFL coaching experience, including the past four years as the Jaguars Special Team Coordinator. During his tournament in Jacksonville, the team traditionally ranked the top 10 in many categories for special teams, and in 2019, DeCamillis helped lead the way. Logan Cooke a kicker Josh Lambo to become the first teammates to lead the NFL in net points average and field goal percentage.
Before working with the Jaguars, the 55-year-old spent time as a special team coordinator with the Broncos, Bears and Cowboys, and he also spent time with the Falcons and Giants coaching staff.
Bonamego, 57, joined the Rams last February. He spent the 2019 season as the Lions’ special team coordinator and was Central Michigan’s head coach between the 2015 and 2018 seasons.

- Jennifer King is expected to become a full-time attacking assistant Washingtoncoaching staff, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL.com (via Twitter). It Makes King “The first full-time black female coach in NFL history,” according to The Athletic. The Guilford College product spent the 2020 season as a full-time coaching intern Ron Riverastaff.
- It looks like new Jets head coach Robert Saleh completed his attacking coaching staff. We heard earlier about letting Mike LaFleur as offensive coordinator, Greg Knapp as full-back coach, John Benton as an offensive line coach, and Rob Calabrese as a byword specialist. Rich Cimini of ESPN passed on some names we could add to the list, including broad reception coaches Miles Austin, rugby coach Taylor Enter, a washbasin trainer Ron Middleton. As Cimini notes, the staff does not have much experience, with Calabrese, Embree and Austin serving as first NFL position coaches.
- The Valke will be expected to rent Charles London as their new quarterback coach, reports NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero (via Twitter). This is a bit interesting, because London has served as coach at the Texans, Bears and Penn States for the past nine years. However, the 45-year-old does have experience as an attacking assistant / quality control coach at the Titans and Bears.
- Mike Klis of 9News in Denver tweets that Broncos rugby coach Curtis Modkins attracted interest “from across the league as offensive coordinator.The 50-year-old has served as an NFL coach in the NFL Series throughout the 2008 season and has spent time with the Chiefs, Cardinals, Bills, Lions, 49ers and Bears.
- Mike Tomlin interrogate Hank Fraley for the Steelers Olympic coach, reports Gerry Dulac of the Post-Gazette (via Twitter). Fraley actually started his NFL career in Pittsburgh when the Steelers signed him in 2000 as an unknown free agent. After a career that saw him appear in 142 games (mostly with the Eagles and Browns), Fraley served as a coach at both the collegiate and professional level, including a recent stint as the Lions’ attacking line-up coach.
