Fox News hires Pompeo as contributor

Pompeo is said to be commenting on Fox News and Fox Business Network for daytime and real-time shows. His first appearance as a contributor on Friday is Friday on “Fox & Friends”.

The post could benefit Pompeo by linking the former Trump cabinet member to Fox’s audience. Pompeo is considered by many to be a potential presidential candidate in 2024.

However, it is likely that Fox will end this current relationship with Pompeo if he decides to bid. The network ended its contribution agreement with former Trump press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders after announcing that she would elect her to a governor of Arkansas.

Later, in 2016, the cable network Gingrich was suspended again, eight months after re-appointing him as a contributor, as speculation grew that he could be named earlier. Pompeo, who served as Trump’s former secretary of state from 2018 to 2021 and is also a former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, has previously appeared as a guest on Fox New shows.

Fox recently hired other former Trump insiders as contributors, including former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany and Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump.
