The then-dominating cable connection was in third place for the better part of January, a month that CNN also enjoyed with their best viewer game in history. Fox’s ratings have begun to normalize since the low point after the election.
Fox News’ talent changes are not extraordinary. The fluctuation of a program series is a standard procedure after general elections, and CNN has also moved their talent shift.
Fox News is also facing lawsuits from voting systems companies such as Dominion and Smartmatic, which have sued the network and three of its top hosts for $ 2.7 billion over false claims regarding the election. The network remained determined to hold their opinion programs and report on alleged voter fraud, calling the matter ‘meritless’.
Mediate reported Monday that Scott will be holding a quarterly company-wide briefing to address the state of the company it oversees, which will be taken into account with the announcement, will certainly be presented from a position of strength and safety in her current job.

In May 2018, Scott was named the first female CEO of FOX News. In this role, she expanded the FOX News Channel brand into a multi-platform power station now known as FOX News Media. FOX News Media includes linear channels, FOX News Channel (FNC) and FOX Business Network (FBN); the live streaming services FOX Nation and FOX News International, which Scott launched in 2018 and 2020 respectively; FOX News Digital and FOX News Audio, both revamped; FOX News Books, which Scott launched in 2020; and the upcoming platform FOX Weather, for which she announced plans in 2020.
Under her leadership, for the fifth consecutive year in 2020, FNC was the most-watched basic cable network on major daytime segments, and was the first cable news network to ever end the year with more than 3.5 million viewers in the past, the highest rating in its history . FNC is also 19 years behind Scott among number one in cable news. In particular, in 2020, FOX News made television history as the first cable network to surpass the broadcast time for a season that FNC has maintained from Memorial Day until now. FOX News Media also delivered excellent financial results under Scott, which was a record year in advertising sales during the 2020 financial year.
Scott used to chair programming for both FNC and FBN. In this role, she oversaw all network programming and talent management, which significantly changed FNC’s primetime series in 2017 and executed new day, primetime and weekend setups. Some of the hugely successful changes were to replace Bill O’Reilly with Tucker Carlson Tonight at 8pm, Hannity moving back to the 21:00 time frame and launching The Ingraham Angle at 10pm.
She also set up news programs that were solo anchored by Harris Faulkner and included Martha MacCallum and Dana Perino in a successful journalistic role, where she now anchors America’s Newsroom. In the fall of 2017, Scott expanded the network’s schedule to offer 20 hours of live programming. She is also responsible for getting more women to anchor and hold presentations in FNC’s series, which is one of the most in the industry.

During her 25-year career at FOX News, Scott rose through the ranks in a number of programming, production and creative positions after starting her term as a program assistant for television luminary Chet Collier in 1996. Among these roles were: executive vice president of programming (2016); senior vice president for programming and development (2009); Vice President of Programming (2007); network executive producer (2005); as well as co-producer, producer and senior producer of On the Record w / Greta Van Susteren (2002-2005). In addition, she was responsible for launching numerous on-air and digital strategies, including the first debut of On the Record in 2002. She began her television career at CNBC.
