Fortnite’s new season begins with an ‘explosive’ event

A new season of Fortnite is almost here, which can only mean one thing: a great opportunity in the game. Epic set out today what players can expect when season 6 of Fortnite‘s second chapter begins. It sounds pretty ambitious and even contains a story-driven solo experience.

The event was called the ‘Zero Crisis Finale’, and here’s how Epic describes it:

Chapter 2 Season 6 launches on March 16 with the explosive conclusion of the events of season 5. When you begin the first season, you play the conclusion of Agent Jones’ mission in the Zero Crisis Final. The aftermath of this event will definitely shape reality as we know it.

Don’t worry, the Zero Crisis Final is a solo experience and you can go through it when you first sign up. Do you want to watch it online first? We will soon share details on how you can watch the world premiere with everyone, starting with our most ambitious film art yet!

These in-game events have long been one of the highlights of the Fortnite experience. The latter, which was the culmination of the Marvel-themed season, devastated a large galactus on the island before players teamed up to take it down. Epic says it was the biggest event to date, with more than 15 million concurrent players beating Travis Scott’s virtual concert.

Season 5 of Fortnite started in December, and it’s a period captured with licensed bindings, from Baby Yoda and the Mandalorian to characters from street fighter, Tron, GI Joe, and more. There’s even a Batman crossover cartoon on the way.
