Predator has arrived in Fortnite, and he is perhaps the toughest Boss battle players have experienced so far. Here’s how to defeat him and unlock the Predator skin.
After weeks of teasing, the iconic movie villain Predator made his way to The Island as part of update v15.21. In addition to bringing a skin and a new Mythic item, he also appears as a Boss character for players to tackle.
If you own this season’s Battle Pass, defeating him will mark one of the newly added Jungle Hunter Quests and unlock the Predator skin. You need to wear this skin to complete other Jungle Hunter missions and unlock the complete cosmetics set, so it’s definitely worth your time.
Defeating Predator is one of the most challenging things you will do in Season 5 of Fortnite, but we have some tips and a location guide below to make it easier.
Where can you find Predator in Fortnite?
Before you can defeat Predator, you need to know where to find him. You can do this by visiting Stealthy Stronghold, which is a place of interest that you can find in the north of the map.
He does not live in a specific place like The Mandalorian, so you will have to search to find him. We had the most luck when we landed near its crashing pod, which appears northwest of the place of interest.

How to defeat Predator in Fortnite
As we said earlier, Predator does not stay in the same place for long, and that’s part of what makes this Boss battle so difficult. He is incredibly agile and will often pull away from the player and jump as he goes.
He also uses his new Mythic item, the cloak apparatus, which makes him almost invisible. He will only be fully realized when he attacks a player, so you will often not see him until he is right next to you.

To make matters worse, there will be many other people who are desperate to take down Predator and unlock the skin. This means that you not only have to defeat the Boss, but that you also have to watch other players.
However, we would recommend taking advantage of the popularity of this location. If you stay hidden and wait for other players to damage Predator, you can strike and inflict the knockdown.
Here’s the best way to defeat him in Fortnite:
- Fall out of the Battle Bus and land in Stealthy Stronghold.
- Quickly fill in the best weapons you can find – you need them.
- Look for Predator, which will often be near its pod in the northwest of Stealthy Stronghold.
- If there are other players, you have to wait until they do damage and weaken him.
- Use a mixture of weapons at close range and medium range to take him down.
- Collect the predator’s mantle device from its defeated body, if you wish.
Unlike The Mandalorian, which was easy to locate and best taken from a distance, Predator will be a narrower and more personal boss fight, so make sure you are prepared for weapons up close, such as shotguns.
Another tip is to take Predator with friends in Trios or a group, because you can communicate and defeat him together, but in the end do not fall out about who can keep the mantle afterwards.
