Fortnite’s Season 5 still continues strong with more crossovers than players could ever hope for, but it will not be long before season 6 begins. As Chapter 2 Season 6 will take place over a period of time this month, players have a new theme, cosmetics, another battle pass and more to look forward to. While most of the next season, as every season before, is under supervision, players have at least one likely answer to some of their most pressing questions about the next season.
Luckily, the past few seasons have given us at least an idea of how things will go down as season 5 turns into season 6. According to the information for the current combat pass, the pass will be available from season 5 to March 15. Previous interruptions between seasons were short and consisted of only a few short downtime to sink the big events while the game was maintained to revamp the map and other features. Season 6 will therefore likely start on March 16, a Tuesday, unless it starts earlier than that.
One of the constants in Fortnite is the big event at the end of each season that starts things off anew. Whether it’s Galactus or something completely original from the battle-royal game, these events are always a sight to behold and are constantly trying to catch up with the previous one.
Whatever the final event, for season 5 it will inevitably be focused on the Zero Point entity that has been threatening the map throughout the season. Some players have pointed out that the portals that appear on the map this season appear to have been strategically placed to form a cube shape. Its importance has yet to be seen, but it seems unlikely that it was unintentional.
It is also suggested that Fortnite may get AI-driven vehicles in the future. With only about ten days left before the new season begins, this kind of thing looks like something that could be used in season 6, perhaps after it was introduced in the final season 5 event.
Without knowing what the theme is for next season, it’s even harder to predict what’s going to be in the battle pass. We’ll have to hope for some leaks between now and March 15 to give what they can about next season’s battle pass. Epic Games is usually pretty reliable about sharing teasers on social media during the days before next season, so we’ll see at least a few glimpses of season 6.
