Fortnite’s 15.40 update is just around the corner, and it’s going to bring some interesting changes to the game. As with all Fortnite updates, it’s not exactly what the patch is going to do, but we have some tips from the game’s official Twitter account. The patch will be launched on February 16th.
According to the tweets below, it seems that popular limited time modes Air Royale and Floor is Lava are going to make a comeback. With the patch you can also adjust the object level of detail in the Perf Mode alpha, but only on a computer. In addition, characters will have more exotic items that you can grab. Let’s just hope the opposing teams don’t even get out there.
Knock knock. 🚪

v15.40 bring:
Fly back with an unsophisticated favorite!
✅Fun for the whole group! Characters will have more exotic items in stock for allies (or enemies).
TMLTMs coming soon: Air Royale ✈️ + Floor is Lava 🌋
✅ Adjust the object / build level of detail in PC Perf Mode alpha– Fortnite Status (@FortniteStatus) 15 February 2021
The above tweet also refers to an ‘unsophisticated favorite’. Based on contextual indications, it’s probably pump guns or an explosive weapon. Then again, the “knock knock” phrasing in the first tweet led some to think that the Flint-Knock pistol might as well take a turn again. We’ll probably know when the patch appears on February 16th.
