Fortnite unveils first look at Ant-Man

Epic Games reveals just the first look at Fortnite’s version of Ant-Man, but if you did not look pretty enough, chances are you missed it completely. The game’s Twitter account shared a preview indicating that another Marvel skin was coming and hid Ant-Man in the picture for players to find before his arrival. This teasing is in line with the appearance of a new portal and previous references to Ant-Man who suggested that he would arrive soon.

The picture below is perhaps one that Fortnite players remember from earlier in 2020 when Deadpool and X-Force skins came Fortnite. It shows Domino, Cable and Psylocke in order, but there is another character hidden in the image when you look at Cable’s arms.

Like many players pointed out for others who did not catch the tease in the X-Force image, it is definitely Ant-Man sitting on Cable’s arm just below his elbow. He will of course have a normal size if added to the game, but it’s a clever tease to indicate on his arrival. It looks like he’s wearing the classic outfit that people would expect from him when he’s added, but it’s hard to highlight the details, given how small his presence in the teaser is.

Although Ant-Man has now made his first Fortnite appearance and the tweet, including his parable that Marvel characters directly mentioned, players already suspected he would be added to the game next. Even before its portal officially appeared in the game, the portal was discovered in the files of the game with the code name “SmallFry”, which immediately thought of Ant-Man. The Marvel division of the in-game Item Shop was also recently updated in an apparent attempt to prepare for the arrival of a new skin or a return of Marvel. Based on the portal and the latest preview that appears in the game, it seems that this will be the first when Ant-Man is officially added.

It probably won’t be long before Ant-Man is officially in the game since then Fortnite’s teasers usually follow fixed patterns and move quickly once it has started. It could be added as early as this weekend, though Epic Games will definitely let players know when it’s available for purchase.

After Ant-Man was added, we still have a lot of skins we would like to see before Season 6 starts or a while after.
