A trio of rival Fortnite players have had their FNCS event taken away from them, after one of the players told Donald Mustard, chief creative officer at Epic Games, to ‘kill yourself’.
The team qualified for the big finals of FNCS in the NA East region and would take part this weekend, but it was all stopped due to comments by one of the players, ‘Wrigley’.
Wrigley competed with Dictate and Userz and sent a tweet addressed to the Chief Creative Officer at Epic Games, Donald Mustard.
The tweet, which has now been removed (along with Wrigley’s entire account), reads: “Like literally f ** king k! Ll your $ elf @DonaldMustard.”

Wrigley’s Twitter account has since been deleted.
On March 14, Wrigley’s teammate revealed that they were disqualified, and shared the email he received from Epic Games.
The notice reads: ‘We are writing to inform you of the disqualification and removal of your team from the FNCS competition of Chapter 2 Season 5, effective immediately. Based on an internal investigation, a member of your team violated Section 8.1.2 of the official rules. ”
The specific rule in question states that ‘players must have respect for other players, event administrators, spectators and sponsors (as applicable).’

This means that the team’s efforts to qualify for the big finals throughout the season were in vain, all due to one tweet from one of their teammates.
just played the whole season for $ 0 oh my fucking god

It also means that the trio will miss out on the guaranteed prize money they would earn, even if they placed last time.
can I at least not have my $ 600 child support not cheap? @DonaldMustard

Some fans sympathized with Dictate and Userz, who were punished for their actions by their teammates.
FNCS Grand Finals continue on March 14, as players from all regions compete for big prize money. The price pool for NA-East alone is more than $ 690,000.
