Fortnite had crossovers with just about every franchise you can think of, and now fans think Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson could be the next addition to the game. According to some conspiratorial Redditors, The Rock may be behind one of the most important but mysterious characters of the season, known as The Foundation.
The speculation only started when Fortnite‘s season 6 series has been released. In the cutscene, Agent Jones is met by a mysterious new character named The Foundation. But beyond his role in this season’s story, some fans have remarked that he looks more like a passing deal with The Rock. Matteoiceman on Reddit even put the two next to each other just to make the similarities extra clear.
Although the appearance alone was possible enough to inspire Redditors, The Rock itself added an Instagram message to the speculation on March 16, the day Fortnite season 6 begins. In the report, The Rock says that March 16 is a very important day and that he wants to be sure to post it because of how much it means to certain people, even though he does not actually say who the people are.
The whole message is weird and mysterious, and more than a little vague, until he comes to the end and says the words “The Foundation”, in which fans give a dead giveaway that he is indeed playing the character Fortnite.
One thing that may have prevented The Rock from coming to Fortnite in the past were the types of skins that Epic Games introduced. Over the past few years, Fortnite had many crossover events with dozens of skins and outfits licensed from popular games, movies, comics and TV shows, although it did not do much with real people. Season 6’s striker outfit is, however, from international football superstar Neymar Jr.
With Fornite now broken down into athletes, it would not be a bit to imagine The Rock in the game. On top of that, he has some fantastic alternative style options, like Pro Wrestler Rock, or Fanny Pack Rock.
