Fortnite fans think they’ve discovered who’s the main character The Foundation plays: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
The foundation crashed in Fortnite this week as part of the game’s Zero Crisis Finals event, helping players in their effort to stabilize the island.
As leader of the mysterious group called The Seven, the foundation seems to be playing a critical role in the game’s upcoming storyline – and it looks like he’s going to appear again as soon as he can be released from being trapped in Zero Point itself.
So why Johnson? Well, there are some clues.
First, there’s a mysterious Instagram video of The Rock itself, titled The Foundation right at the end. It was posted on March 16, the day of the Zero Crisis Finals, though no one at the time seemed to notice it:

“On March 16, 2021 around the world, today was a great day,” Johnson said, going further about a certain world culture with which he shared a specific connection and similar DNA. Wrestle it, or could it be video games? He has appeared in a few games over the years, but it could also be a nod to his work on the recent Jumanji films.
“It’s all done to strengthen and develop the power and strength known as … The Foundation,” Johnson continued before looking into the camera and raising his brand eyebrow.
Next, there is the design of the character. Fans pointed to the placement of the Foundation’s circular armor and bulky arms, reminiscent of Johnson’s chest tattoos and rippling muscles. I think?

In the files of Fortnite, the voice lines of The Foundation are kept in a box entitled “DJ” – Dwayne Johnson?
Then of course there is the name of the character – rock be a solid foundation. Fans also pointed out more about Johnson’s recent work on Disney projects, and the fact that Zero Crisis Finals was worked out by Marvel’s Russo brothers as another link.
Mysteriously, Epic Games did not want to tell me who the voice actor of The Foundation was earlier this week. Something is cooking …
