Fortnite Dev Epic Games has bought an abandoned mall to move to its next headquarters

Epic Games has bought an entire mall with plans to convert the unused space into its new headquarters in Cary, North Carolina. In a press release, Epic Games announced that it has purchased a 980,000-square-foot, 87-acre Cary Towne Mall. will become the new Epic Games campus by 2024. This includes plans to create long-term office buildings and recreational spaces.

The development of the new headquarters will begin later this year and Epic Games will meanwhile remain on the current Crossroad Boulevard site in Cary, the city of Epic Games has been established for more than 20 years.“We are very proud that Epic has chosen to host Cary for their new global headquarters, and we appreciate the company’s recognition of Cary’s existing assets as well as the area’s unlimited potential for their growing business,” he said. the mayor of Cary, Harold Weinbrecht. said in a statement.

Epic has more than 50 offices worldwide and manages local and global aspects of its business.
