Former Yankees fielder Johnny Damon arrested for DUI in Florida

Johnny Damon found himself behind bars on Friday after he was arrested for driving under the influence.

The former Yankees and Red Sox fielder had a blood alcohol level of more than 0.20, more than twice the legal limit in the state, 0.08, at the time of his arrest Friday morning by Windermere police.

The police officer from Orlando, Florida, has been charged with DWI and the resistance against an officer without violence.

The 47-year-old Damon has played 18 seasons in the major leagues and spent most of his career with the Royals, Red Sox and Yankees. He was a two-time champion of the All-Star and two-time world series and won a title with the Yankees and Red Sox.
